How to use
- Add your students and assignments — weights default to equal (unweighted) until you set them.
- Enter each score out of its assignment's total; empty cells are skipped, not counted as zero.
- Switch between weighted and unweighted calculation, then read each student's percentage, letter grade and the class statistics.
- Sort by name or grade, search for a student, and clear everything when the term ends.
Private by design: this tool runs entirely in your browser — no account, no AI, and nothing you type is sent to a server.
Frequently asked questions
Where is my gradebook data stored?
In your browser's localStorage only — on your device. The privacy note under the tool says it plainly: your gradebook data stays in your browser and is not sent to an AI service.
Weighted or unweighted — what's the difference?
Unweighted averages the assignment percentages equally. Weighted multiplies each percentage by its assignment weight (weights should total 100%).
What happens to blank scores?
They're excluded from the average rather than treated as zero — so a student who hasn't submitted yet isn't penalised until you enter a score.
How do I start a new term?
Press Clear — it empties the gradebook and removes the saved data from this browser.
